Folks have questions. We have answers!
See our list of frequently asked questions below.

Where is the festival?

Blacksburg Fork & Cork 2024 will take place at Historic Smithfield. Historic Smithfield is adjacent to the Virginia Tech campus (near the Duck Pond and Vet Med). This venue offers a gorgeous backdrop and plenty of shade for a great day of music, wine, food, shopping, and fun. Historic Smithfield (and parking for this festival) is easiest accessed via Duck Pond Drive. Duck Pond Drive connects to Washington Street, Southgate Drive, and West Campus Drive. Feel free to utilize your phone’s search engine for “Historic Smithfield” and utilize the map feature, or type “1000 Smithfield Plantation Road, Blacksburg” into your GPS or chosen map app.

Where is my favorite [winery, food truck, vendor]?

Once onsite, festival guides and maps will be available, but if you wish to "chart your course" in advance, we will add the 2024 Festival Map here as soon as it is ready!

Is the festival pet friendly?

If your pet is a dog, YES! Fork & Cork is a dog-friendly festival! Well-behaved dogs, on leash, and responsible owners who immediately clean up after their pet are more than welcome. We'll ask you to sign a pet waiver upon entry, but feel free to bring along your furry friend!

Bag Check and Wine Holding

All bags, bookbags, baskets, and similar will be checked upon festival entry. No coolers, and no outside food or beverages are allowed. Complimentary bottled water will be available courtesy of our Hydration Station sponsor, Carilion Clinic.

We encourage you to support the participating wineries by making a bottle purchase if you find something you like. Should you choose not to open and enjoy it while at the festival, we will happily store your wine purchase in our Wine Holding Tent.

Where do I park?

We have complimentary shuttle buses and FREE parking in adjacent Virginia Tech parking lots.
Rest assured there will be ample signage to point you toward parking and the festival shuttle upon arrival. To get a “lay of the land” in advance, check out the MAP below for full details!

The distance from most parking lots to the festival entrance is less than one mile and a relatively easy walk (approximately 10 minutes) if preferred.
